Company-reported development
HairClone reported in March 2026, with its page updated in July, that a cell-manufacturing facility in a private hospital in Guatemala City had become operational. It said the manufacturing process had been transferred from the United Kingdom and validated.
The company also said an initial group of volunteers had been selected and was expected to receive autologous follicle-cell injections through the Schambach Hair Clinic.
Information available for independent assessment
The announcement does not provide a registered protocol, participant flow, predefined endpoints, comparator design or treatment results. The absence of these materials limits independent assessment.
The described objective is to evaluate visual and quantified growth changes and study mechanisms of action. Availability through a partner clinic does not establish efficacy or broad regulatory approval.
Evidence classification
HairClone is classified as early clinical evaluation on the basis of the company’s account. The classification will be revised when traceable protocol details, patient data or independent publications provide further evidence.
